Everything important is on the information board
In January, an electronic monitor placed on the facade of the Afipsky house of culture began to display information about the state of the atmospheric air in the township.
The appearance of the information board was preceded by a lot of organizational work carried out by the management and specialists of the Afipsky Refinery.
First, the initiative of informing citizens about the state of atmospheric air was discussed at an expanded meeting of the working group of committees of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar territory on property and land relations, on use of natural resources, environmental safety, health resort complex and tourism, as well as on fuel and energy complex, transport and road management. Then – in the framework of a field meeting of the working group of the Public Chamber of the Krasnodar territory, which was held on the territory of the Afipsky Refinery. Apart from that, the township residents’ opinion played its role when discussed at one of the gatherings.
The result of this was the order of Sergey Kraschuk -General Director regarding the arrangement of additional daily monitoring of the atmospheric air state in residential areas at the border of the sanitary protection zone of the refinery.
“As part of the monitoring, atmospheric air tests are conducted for the content of sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide and saturated hydrocarbons С12-С19,” explains Marina Kovaleva, chief ecologist and head of the environmental protection department of Afipsky Refinery. - Analysis is carried out by the refinery’s QC department control laboratory.
Specialists of the environmental protection department daily send analysis results to the township’s administration and to the Afipsky Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP). In order to bring information about the quality of atmospheric air and indicators of the content of pollutants to the attention of the township’s residents, the PSAP dispatcher sends the received information to the information board located on the facade of the house of culture of Afipsky township.
