The delivery of heavy weight equipment for the Hydrocracker Complex of Afipsky refinery is completed
The delivery of heavy weight equipment to Afipsky refinery (asset of the NefteGazIndustria Group of Companies) for the constructed Hydrocracker Complex is completed. Fifty-six heavy weight equipment items with total weight of 6000 tons were delivered to the refinery altogether. The maximum weight of one cargo item was equal to as much as 743 tons and the length - to 60 meters.
Reactors, columns, heaters, compressors and other pieces of equipment were supplied from Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Malaysia, India and Thailand using marine, river and automobile transport. Mobile stage hoisting system SBL with capacity of 800 tons was used for cargo loading operations.
The water routes ran through the Pacific, Indian and Atlantic oceans, the Mediterranean, Black and Azov seas, the rivers Kuban, Protoka and Ubin. The terrestrial part of the route started from the specially build berth in village Achuevo (Krasnodar Krai). Along the heavy weight equipment delivery route the dikes of Shapsug water storage reservoir were strengthened, new haul roads and storage areas were constructed and a bridge over the river Ubin was erected.
Currently, the following activities are going to be completed at Afipsky refinery - intrasite roads/driveways construction, pile installation, preparation for concrete casting of building and structure's foundations of the Hydrocracker Complex. Completion of construction and installation work is planned for late 2021.
The Hydrocracker Complex with a feed rate of 2.5 MMTA will increase the yield of light petroleum products by more than 1/3 and the depth of processing will achieve 80%. Diesel fuel of Euro-5 standard and LPG will be added to the range of products produced at the refinery. Besides, the production of straight-run gasoline and pelletized sulfur will be increased.
