Reactors for Hydrocracker complex delivered to Afipsky refinery
As a part of the Vacuum Gas oil Hydrocracker Complex construction heavy load items – reactors - of total weight of 1,3 K tons have been delivered from Italy to Afipsky refinery.
Equipment was transported to the plant territory first by the sea and then by the road transport. Soon we are expecting to arrive the last third reactor as well as a HP separator of 200 tons. Until the end of September it is planned to complete the delivery of approximately 50 more heavy load items. The Hydrocracker complex of 2,5 MTA of feed will allow to increase the yield of light petroleum products by more than 1/3 and the depth of processing will achieve 80%. Diesel fuel of Euro-5 standard and LPGs will be added to the range of products produced at the plant. Also production of straight-run gasoline and granulated sulfur will be increased.
The delivered reactors are the main elements of the unit providing secondary crude oil processing – extraction of lighter fractions from the vacuum gas oil, such as gasoline, kerosene and diesel fuel. Modern technologies allow the HC complex to almost fully convert heavy crude oil feed (vacuum gas oil) into the more high-value oil products.
Equipment for the hydrocracking process at Afipka refinery will be comprised of the main unit and auxiliary facilities to provide H2 to the process, wastewater treatment for re-use and sulfur recovery unit to dispose of H2S and sour water.
Currently at Afipsky refinery the following activities are going on - internal roads/driveways construction, pile installation, preparation for concrete casting of building and structure's foundations for the Vacuum Gas oil Hydrocracker Complex. Completion of construction and installation works is planned for the end of year 2020.
