Afipsky refinery processed 55 million tons of crude oil

Beginning from 2005 Afipsky refinery has processed 55 million tons of crude oil after completion of the first stage of technical upgrade and the plant reached the industrial level of  feed processing - 3 MTA of crude oil.
It is noteworthy that such a high performance characteristic was achieved in the year of celebrating the 55th anniversary of the enterprise foundation.  Throughout the history, the refinery has been consistently implementing a program for development of production and economic facilities.  For example, over the past 10 years, the refinery upgraded the crude distillation facilities, built a new loading/unloading rack and oil acceptance/transfer unit, reconstructed tank farms of feedstock and oil products.  As a result of the second stage of technical upgrade the process capacity of the plant has reached 6 MTA.
In 2017 the plant commissioned a feed rerun unit - Integrated fuel oil vacuum distillation and heavy residue visbreaking unit. The new processing facility allowed the plant to produce motor fuel and stable gas naphtha.  In addition, a separate section of Integrated fuel oil vacuum distillation and heavy residue visbreaking unit is designed for production of industrial sulfur.
In the nearest future Afipsky refinery is going to construct and commission modern processing facilities, which will allow to increase the oil processing capacity from 6 to 9 MTA and depth of processing from 77% to 93%.
