Afipka NPZ has completed the tightly scheduled maintenance of the crude oil distillation plant
Afipka NPZ has completed the maintenance of the crude oil distillation plant with annual capacity of 3 mln tons of oil. Scheduled maintenance of the complex did not took more than a week.
The work was carried out to improve the level of industrial safety and the operating performance of the plant. During the repair, the transfer pipelines were replaced, through which the heated material is transported to the fractionator , where oil is subsequently separated into fractions. In addition, a mixer was installed on the unit, intended for mixing raw materials with alkaline solution in order to protect the equipment from corrosion deterioration. Besides, stationary hydrocarbon gas sampling systems were installed on the process pad.
Also, the topping column was repaired, the shut-off and safety valves were inspected, and the oil metering gauges calibrated.
Afipka NPZ units involved in maintenance include the process and mechanical repair shop, the electrical shop and the workshop of instrumentation and automation. To ensure safety during the maintenance work, the employees of the control laboratory and the gas rescue unit of the refinery organized round-the-clock monitoring of explosive and oxygen concentration in the operational area.
The next maintenance of the process unit is scheduled for October, 2018.
