One of the main hydrocracking units successfully delivered to Afipka NPZ

One of the most large-dimensioned units of the vacuum gasoil hydrocracking complex which is currently under construction, a fractionation column, has been delivered to Afipka refinery. The column is designed to separate the gas and product mixture after passing the first and second hydrocracking stages, into light hydrocarbon fractions (liquefied petroleum gas, gasoline), diesel fractions and a hydrocracking residue.
Transportation of equipment weighing almost 500 tons and more than 58 meters long was carried out in several stages: transported by sea to Novorossiysk, by barge along the Protoka and Kuban rivers, and then by special trucks to the refinery.
In the near future, Afipka NPZ  is preparing to receive another 55 units of large-capacity and large-sized equipment, including rectification columns, furnace equipment and compressors, as part of the vacuum gas oil hydrocracking complex construction. The delivery of the main process equipment of the entire unit - three reactors with a total weight of more than 2.1 thousand tons, manufactured in Italy - to the plant is scheduled for May, 2018.
Сonstruction of the hydrocracking unit with annual capacity of 2.5 million tons is planned to be completed in 2020. Thanks to the new complex, the range of Afipka NPZ products will be extended with Euro-5 diesel fuel, liquefied hydrocarbon gases, in addition, production of straight-run gasoline and granulated sulfur will increase.
