Afipka NPZ and Krasnodar Krai Administration have signed a Protocol of Intent

Afipka NPZ and Krasnodar Krai Administration have signed a Protocol of Intent for cooperation in investment in construction of a diesel hydrotreater at the refinery. The signing ceremony took place as part of the Russian Investment Forum, which was held on February 15-16 in Sochi.
The document was signed by the Governor of the Krasnodar Krai Veniamin Kondratiyev and the General Director of the Afipka NPZ Eugene Petruhin. According to the Protocol, the refinery has confirmed its intention to complete construction of the diesel hydrotreater which will allow the refinery to produce a new type of product - Euro-5 diesel fuel. The production capacity of the facility will be 3.3 million tons per year.
The hydrotreater is constructed as part of modernization of the production complex of the enterprise and is stipulated by a quadripartite Agreement signed between OOO Afipka NPZ, Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service, Federal Agency on Technical Regulation and Metrology, and Federal Antimonopoly Service.
In the medium term, the refinery will also be equipped with: a hydrocracking and crude oil distillation plant, new water treatment facilities. In addition, plans are underway to put into operation an additional Novovelichkovskaya-Krasnodar main oil pipeline.
At the final stage of Afipka NPZ modernization, a delayed coking unit with a capacity of 1.5 million tons per year is scheduled to be built.
Following the construction of new facilities, the plant will increase its refining capacity from 6 to 9 million tons per year, and the refining ration will reach 93%.
